		Interfilière, Paris On 1st, 2nd and 3rd September 2008, JPC-Elásticos will take part in the Interfilière Trade Fair, in Lyon. (Stand H161 Bis, Hall 4) Through our presence we are seeking to strengthen the position of the Company on the European market. JPC-Elásticos had to be present at this major event in the heart of Europe where fellow exhibitors will include all the major fashion accessory manufacturers.

		Interfilière, Paris JPC Elásticos participated in the “Interfilière” Trade Fair, on 24th, 25th and 26th January 2008, in Paris. As usual, at its stand JPC displayed its elastic ribbon collection. During the last events, JPC’s stand has been visited by a large number of current and potential clients, some of which represented major European brands. This international trade fair of intimate articles has been a success for the Company’s business since we became better known on the international market.

		"JPC Elásticos in great shape" JPC-Elásticos has been mentioned recently in three well-known international magazines covering the intimate fashion world where we can find various applications for the products made by JPC- Elásticos. The magazine articles also commented on the Company and the high quality of its industrial facilities and processes.

		For the natural balance of skin - Meryl® SkinlifE Because the well-being of the users of our products is a top priority for us, JPC Elásticos always tries to associate itself with certified products which give a guarantee of quality, durability and comfort. JPC Elásticos uses Meryl® SkinlifE fibres in some of its articles, thus ensuring that we make a top quality product. Meryl® SkinlifE is a bacteriostatic fibre which maintains the natural balance of skin, regardless of activity level. Bacteria are normally present on human skin. Various problems (allergies, odours, illnesses, etc.) can occur if the bacteria level is too high or if no bacteria are present. However, Meryl® SkinlifE is not a bactericide: it does not reduce the level of bacteria present on skin. There is no migration of the fabric to the skin Thanks to the presence of the exclusive bacteriostatic agent in the polymer matrix (which is inherent in the fibre and not deposited on the fabric surface) there is no migration of the fabric to the skin (avoiding allergies). Meryl® SkinlifE is a permanent characteristic Due to the bacteriostatic agent present in the matrix of the polymer, Meryl® SkinlifE is a permanent characteristic of the item of clothing (still being present after more than 30 washings or even until the end of the item’s life). The diagram below shows a comparison between Meryl® SkinlifE, a surface after treatment with a process normally available on the market and other treatments available for nylon filaments. Meryl® SkinlifE is active against the main groups of bacteria Gram + (S. Aureus) and Gram – (K. Pneumonia) and its component is registered under the EPA-TSCA and ELINCS. Meryl® SkinlifE has successfully passed oral, skin and eye contact tests. Fabric and clothing manufacturers will have no difficulties in working with Meryl® SkinlifE. Meryl® microfibre yarn will behave in the same manner throughout various industrial process stages and retains the same dyeing capacity. With the same characteristics and advantages as Meryl® microfibre yarn - comfort, an incredibly smooth touch and high performance – this product was developed to meet the requisites of quality, durability and practicality regardless of the situation. Only items with the label Meryl® SkinlifE have their quality certified. In Portugal Meryl® SkinlifE is used in articles manufactured by JPC Elásticos. New level of comfort Meryl® offers comfort through technical knowledge and guaranteed natural balance. In addition to sensory and thermo-physiological comfort, Meryl® now provides biological comfort. Meryl® SkinlifE is available in microfibres (PA 66 78f68 and PA 66 44f30). Meryl® SkinlifE is perfect for garments which come into contact with the human body and finds its applications in sportswear, underwear, socks, hosiery and shoe linings. Other applications include paramedical fabrics and industrial fabrics (technical fabrics and filters). Meryl® SkinlifE belongs to the most advanced group of intelligent polyamide yarns.
